Street Art In Bangkok

views

The longer you spend in Bangkok, the more street art you’ll see. Some is pretty popular and well known, but you’ll also come across many interesting pieces of art that are only known to locals. We’ll update this post from time to time.

The Fox

This fox looks like it’s walking up the plank of wood that someone has left at the side of the road. I have no idea where we are supposed to follow him to.

Location: Silom Soi 11

The Bird

This colorful bird has been painted onto the side of a house next to some derelict land. Since this photo was taken, a building is being built, so the bird may disappear sometime soon.

Location: Soi Charat Wiang

Siam Square Street Art

We found this street art at Siam Square, near the entrance to Chulalongkorn University.

This one was next to it, on the side of the same restaurant.

Location: Siam Square

Soi Decho Street Art

This is just across the road from the AIA building.

Location: Soi Decho

Surawong Golden Mermaid Street Art

Location: Soi Surawong

Soi Chan 18/7 Street Art

You’ll have to be quick if you want to see this one, as the buildings are about to be demolished. Walk down sathorn Soi 11 and it eventually turns into Soi Chan 18/7.

Location: Soi Chan 18/7 (bottom of Sathorn Soi 11)

Charoen Rat Street Art

This is actually a bit further along than Charoen Rat. It’s on Ram Nong Khaeng 5 Alley, near Teochew Chinese Cemetery.

I love the way that cat is jumping from the tree to try to get the fish.

Another cat, this time on a boat.

Location: Ram Nong Khaeng 5 Alley

Saphan Taksin BTS Street Art

This impressive bit of street art takes up the whole of a very long wall. The only problem is that it’s mostly blocked by songthaews and street sellers.

Location: Next to Saphan Taksin BTS station

The Golden Dragon

Location: Charoenkrung Soi 57

Pink Cats & Dogs

These amazing cats and dogs appeared this week (April 2018).

Location: Soi Sri Vieng, Bangrak

More Cats & Dogs

Not long after I spotted the pink cats and dogs, I spotted a similar artwork of white cats and dogs.

Location: Mahesak Road
