Rizzo’s by Michael Patrick was originally an eight-table, 32-seat dining room that opened in October 2011 in a small downtown space. But it has now grown into its new and larger location in the Historic South Main Arts District under Chef Michael’s leadership.

The new space was designed by Ann Parker, an award-winning designer. It celebrated the rustic brick and mortar look of the Historic South Main Arts District combined with splashes of green to highlight their personality. It has a long bar that follows one wall, and there is now a lot of seating including some prime tables that are by the large windows looking out over Main.They also have hanging artworks in the restaurant which are for sale to showcase Local Artists.

Rizzo’s serve Southern-inspired foods and their menu carries a creative Southern slant to comfort foods. One of the original foods they serve which is also a local favorite is the cheeseburger soup. It is full of meat and vegetables in a cheese base just like a cheeseburger. Aside from that, some of the other delicious foods they serve are black-eyed pea hummus, scallops and mushroom risotto, and chorizo meatloaf to name a few.

You can also enjoy some good drinks in their bar area paired with burgers and other bar foods on their menu like lamb belly tacos, lobster pronto pup, and chorizo meatloaf sliders. Every Monday to Thursday they serve dinner from 5 pm to 10 pm. Every Friday and Saturday they serve lunch from 11 am to 2 pm and dinner from 5 pm to 11 pm. Every Sunday they serve brunch from 11 am to 3 pm.
