Bangkok Vegetarian Restaurant – Sutunthip

views

Sutunthip vegetarian restaurant is on of our favorite places to eat in Bangkok, and we eat there every week. It’s also 100% vegan, so a great option if you’re looking for excellent vegan food. Not only is the food delicious, but it’s also very reasonably priced. It’s probably Bangkok’s most popular vegetarian restaurant.

Just across the river you can also find 15 of the best vegetarian restaurants in Bangkok (Silom).

Over 100 Vegan Dishes

There are well over 100 dishes on the menu, and they all have photos, which makes choosing easy. My favorite dishes are the curries, although they are described as stir fries. On our last visit we had the Stir Fried Vegan Fish Cake With Chili Paste. This is definitely my favorite.

Nearly all the dishes have two prices – for other a small or large dish. The small dishes are bigger than a normal dish at most restaurants. For two people sharing, the small dishes are big enough. This restaurant often has big groups of people though, so te larger dishes would be a better option for them. The above dish was just 80 baht.

The photo above shows the other dishes we chose. These were Gyoza (Fried Vegan Dumplings), Somtam (Spicy Papaya Salad), Mixed Vegan Soup, and Stir Fried Hong Kong Kale With Vegan Thai Anchovy.

All dishes were cooked to perfection and very yummy. My mouth is watering just thinking of it all.

Vegan Dessert

For dessert we had Vegan Gelato. They have a selection of about 10-15 different flavors. I had the lemon one. You just pick them from the freezer yourself. They are only 20 baht.

Above you can see just some of the menu, which as well over 100 dishes. The only problem is choosing what to eat.

So how much did our meal cost. We had all the above for just 439 baht. That’s around $12.50. A real bargain.

As you can see from the image above it’s a pretty big restaurant. It probably seats around 50-70 people in total. Service is generally very fast, even when it’s busy.
