The Bangkok Hotel Where Burt Reynolds Stayed

views

There is a hotel in Bangkok near Democracy monument that played a small part in the black and white spy movie Operation C.I.A. This is the movie that starred a young Burt Reynolds, who stayed in Room 607.

Thai Hotel opened in May 1962, but later changed its name to Hotel De Moc. The new, and current, name is due to the fact that it’s located near Democracy Monument, not far from the (in)famous Khao San Road, Bangkok’s backpacker party district.

Apparently, some guests still ask to stay at room 607.

Hotel De Moc is still open, so if you’re looking for somewhere to stay that has some movie history, this would be a great choice.
