U Hat Yai Hotel

We made a great choice by choosing U Hat Yai Hotel for our 3-day stay in Hat Yai. It’s quite centrally located, and was easy to walk from the hotel to everywhere we went in the town. The town is fairly small, so quite walkable for most people.

The hotel is only a couple of years old and still looks brand new. It’s very clean, the rooms are quite large, and the staff are among the most friendly we have ever met. They really do make a big effort to make your stay feel great.

We opted for the Deluxe Room with City View, and were very happy with our choice. These rooms are 25 sqm, so fairly large by most hotel standards.

There was a lot of light in the room, because there were windows on two sides, as well as an additional window in the bathroom, which is quite rare for most hotels. It gives the room a really uplifting feeling.

Our room had a TV, fridge, kettle, plus free tea, coffee and water.

It’s was the little touches, like this vase of flowers, that helped make the room feel really comfortable. The staff really do put in a great deal of effort.

The bathroom was beautifully clean and quite spacious. There was a separate shower as well, which you don’t get at all Thai hotels.

As you can see, the bathroom was quite bright, as there was a window next to the sink. Toiletries were provided.

The wifi at the hotel was fairly fast and worked well, although I didn’t get around to checking the exact speed. There were drinks and snacks for sale at the reception area. There wasn’t a full breakfast available, but there was free coffee and some snacks offered every morning.
