Kwanchanok Ville – Long Term Rooms In Hua Hin

views

As we planned to spend a few months in Hua Hin we needed to book a couple of nights at a hotel and then search for longer-term accommodation. As we had a car we decided to stay a little outside the city center, as it would be quieter and a little cheaper. After a little searching, we decided to spend our first two nights at Kwanchanok Ville, an apartment hotel just off Soi 94.

When we first booked the hotel we didn’t realize that they also did long-term stays, but as we like the location we decided that it would be a great place to spend our first month while we took our time looking for another place for the next few months.

Kwanchanok Ville is made of up three buildings, with the third one being the newest. It’s been open less than two years, so everything looks very new and works well.

The rooms are a decent size, although probably a little too small for us to stay for longer than a month. I think all the rooms in the same building are pretty similar as regards furniture. Our room had a large and comfortable double bed, a full-size fridge, kettle and cups, a large wardrobe and cupboard, a small sofa and table and chair and a small glass table.

Our room was on the 7th floor and had views that looked towards the city center and towards the hills of Hin Lek Fai.

If you head out of the building and turn left onto Soi 94 you’ll be heading towards the city center. This section of the street looks typically Thai. It also a huge open-air food market at the end of the street that’s open every night. It’s incredibly popular with Thais, expats, and tourists. There is also a very good selection of Thai food along this section of the road.

Turn right onto Soi 94 and it’s like being in a totally different world. This section of road is one of Hua Hin’s most popular hangouts. The street is lined with bars, cafes, restaurants, and massage shops. Here you can get almost any Western food you want and the prices and mostly quite reasonable.

The daily price for the hotel is around 600 baht ($19) if booked online and 700 baht ($22) at the hotel. However, the monthly rate is a real bargain at just 7,000 baht ($220) per month. With the monthly rate you also have to pay extra for electricity, water and cleaning at the end of your stay, I think the electricity is likely to cost around 1,000 baht, water 150 baht, and cleaning and laundry 600 baht. So one month will likely cost around 8,750 baht ($275). That works out at under 300 baht ($10) a night. That is a real bargain.

There were some rooms available for 6,000 a month, but they were a little more basic. If you’re planning to stay in Hua Hin for a month I think this would be an ideal place to stay. You can hire a motorbike locally if you need to, and this is what some other guests did.
