B.B. King’s Blues Club is a restaurant, bar, and live music club in the USA. It has a rich southern heritage of soulful blues, classic soul, and rock and roll that will entertain you while enjoying their delicious ribs and other southern foods. B.B. King’s Blues Club Owner

The first B.B. King’s Blues Club was opened in 1991 by Riley B. King or more popularly known as B.B. King. He wasa popular American blues singer, electric guitarist, songwriter, and record producer. He was born on a cotton plantation in IttaBena, Mississippi and later worked at a cotton gin in Indianola, Mississippi. B.B. King was attracted to music and the guitar in church and began his career in juke joints and local radio.

B.B. King later lived in Memphis, Tennessee, and Chicago and he toured the world extensively. He introduced a classy style of soloing based on fluid string bending and gleaming vibrato that swayed many later electric blues guitarists.

In 1987, B.B. King was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He is considered as one of the most influential blues musicians of all time where he earned the nickname, “The King of the Blues”. He was also considered one of the “Three Kings of the Blues Guitar”. B.B. King was also known for his tireless performance throughout his musical career. In fact, he appeared on average at more than 200 concerts per year into his 70s.

In 2014, his remaining eight shows were canceled because of health problems that were caused by complications from diabetes and high blood pressure. On May 14, 2015, he died in his sleep at the age of 89 from vascular dementia caused by a series of small strokes as a consequence of his type 2 diabetes.

B.B. King’s Blues Club in Memphis

Their branch in Memphis is the original iconic B.B. King’s Blues Club. It is located at the top of Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee. It is the best restaurant, bar, and live music club on the Street. Aside from Blues, you will also enjoy here classic soul and rock and roll. The club is open every day. On Sundays, it is open from 9am until midnight. From Mondays to Thursdays, it is open from 11am until midnight. And every Fridays and Saturdays, it is open from 11am until 1am. You will be able to jam with the B.B. Kings’ Blues Club All-Star Band and as well as with musicians Will Tucker, King Beez, and Memphis Jones.

Aside from grooving to the music, you can also enjoy here some great barbeque and signature drinks that will fill you to the brim. Their specialty is ribs but they also serve shrimp and grits, barbeque chicken, burgers, salads, and lots of other fine Southern dishes. B.B. King’s Blues Club is one of Nashville’s best restaurants, bars, and live music clubs. It is located in 152 2nd Avenue North Nashville, Tennessee. It is near the Bridgestone Arena, Nashville Convention Center, Nissan Stadium, and Nashville Music City Center. This means that it is very accessible when you tour around Nashville. From Sundays to Thursdays, it is open from 11am to 11pm. And every Fridays and Saturdays, it is open from 11am to 1am. You will be able to enjoy music from the B.B. King’s Blues Club All-Star Band, and from other musicians like Carl Stewart, Mike Hayes, Grant Garland, John Salaway, Adam McDonough, and more.
